California:
I am so frustrated, and tired of attorney's giving me conflicting useless information.

My ex filed bankruptcy (which he lied about assets, $15,000 worth, and he disposed of assets prior to filing (3 days before) We had approximately $10,000. in immediate liquid assests that he did not disclose. I did not file, but I still am paying for these debts. Can I get him for fraud? Will they make him pay the creditors? I have already paid off 2 of these accounts totaling over $12,000.

Ex filing, but I don't want to!

I don't have an answer to your question, though am looking into a similar one. My soon to be Ex is planning to file a Ch.7, leaving all the debt to fall on me. This infuriates me because he is taking the easy way out. Since Feb. he has been unemployed and refuses to find another job. The only reason he is filing is because he is unemployed.
This is all breaking news to me as of two days ago and I have to decide if I should file with him. I personally want to sue him and make him take some responsibility for what he is perfectly capable of doing! Have you thought of doing such a thing? What made you decide not to file bankruptcy too?
