i live in ohio... an exboyfriend of over 2 years has decided that he wants some petty stuff he LEFT in my house when he moved out. he had 8 weeks to pack and has not asked for any of the items he left until recently. the items he wants are a couple hand tools, some school supplies and some photos. does he have any chance of getting these things back that he "abandoned" years ago if i dont want to give them to him or i dont have them anymore?

Sounds to me you two split on bad terms.
If you have the items and you know they are his why not just give them to him?
I am not a lawyer but it is my best guess that he probably has little recourse to the items.
Check with a local lawyer and he will tell you what you really need to know.
