I need advise on a issue that I have with an exroomate. My roomate had a problem with keeping up with his responsibility for sharing half the rent for the apartment we shared. My father stepped in,and offered to pay the last three
months on the lease.
He had worked out a typed agreement with the exroomate to pay his half in installments till the final total was paid. In this agreement if the exroomate failed to pay the full amount by the the deadline. The exroomate would put up two items for collateral worth the value of the loan from my father. Now that my father has only got half the loan paid back to him, and he has failed to pay the remainder of the loan. What can my father do with the signature of my exroomate on this agreement? Can he do anything to get his money.
Can any one help me please?
Thanks
