I'm seeking help for a friend, her ex-husband haven't being making car payments for the last 4 months on a car they both finance together. She's trying to get a loan to purchase a house but her credit score is low because of the late payments from the car. She tried to contact him but he's unwilling to talk at all. She don't mind paying off the car but not letting him keep it if she pay it off, could she called the car finance company and talk to them and have it repo/ tow and she can take over the payment? What's her legal options? Thank you in advance.
