I was never married to my daughter's father. I am the custodial parent. My ex has entered in a petition stating that I have violated our visitation order. He is stating that I refused to let him see my daughter on her birthday. Our visitation order does not state anything as far as her birthday goes. That particular weekend was my weekend. He gets her every other weekend. He is also requesting that I do not move 150 miles from where I am now.
I do not understand how he can request this due to the fact that we were never married. I have never indicated that I would move. But my thoughts are, how could I tell what will happen in the future. In the event that I may get married and my husband wants to move, am I supposed to tell him I can't because of my ex? Or I could be offered a new job making more money that would benefit me and my daughter.
Can someone please help me?
