What is the name of your state? Maryland

My ex-wife got out of jail in 11/2004. She doesn't have a job ( voluntarily unemployed? ) and told my kids she plans on starting her own cleaning business. There's no urgency for her to get a job since she lives with and is supported by a boyfriend. My attorney filed for child support. What do you predict will happen in the child support hearing? Will she pay nothing because she has no job or be ordered to pay something? Thanks.

Talk to your attorney about asking the judge to impute income to her based on what she could be making if she was working a full time minimum wage job. Or, if she had a job before going to jail, ask that her income be imputed to that wage, if it's higher than minimum wage.
