What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

Hello FreeAdvice!

We are a start-up company who just registered for our LLC today!

I wanted to reach out to see if there was a simple "template" that we could use to secure the exclusive printing rights to artwork.

To give you a better idea, we are an apparel company that will be using art across the globe for our prints for online sale. We would like to establish exclusive rights to print and produce all products that are apparel and accessory related (clothing, shoulder bags, towels, purses, etc).

Is there a simple contract that outlines which artwork agreed upon for printing? We will be paying the artists of the work on a percentage sale amount on a monthly basis.

Any and all advice or guidance is much appreciated!

Thanks,

Kyle | STITCH.

Because you are just starting your business - and I assume you want to be in business for awhile - I recommend you avoid online templates and instead have an IP attorney in your area draft "exclusive rights transfer" agreements and artist contracts that will fit your needs.

You will need to obtain rights to reproduce, market and distribute goods using images created by others and you will need to work with the artists on royalties.
