What is the name of your state? NY

I am trying to find out if an executor has the right to change the locks on an estate the other siblings have rights to. My husband has 1/3 interest in his deceased mothers estate.
He also has not seen the will or has been given a copy. He has asked, but has been kept from any decisions being made. The two older siblings are keeping everything a secret.
Does my husband have any rights. Should he get a lawyer?

Yes. It's the duty of the executor to secure the estate.

Wills are public records. Hubby can get a copy of it at the court house. Was probate opened?

Mom obviously felt the other sibling was the one she wanted making the decisions if that person was appointed executor!
