I work for a private non-profit organization in Atlanta Georgia. Recently, the excutive director stated that he was installing a time clock. Those employees that are late will be deducted (pay), even though they are salary employees.

Is it possible to deduct pay form an exempt employee (salary) and if so is the employer required to pay overtime (when employee works more hours). What are the employment laws (In Georgia) that govern exempt employees (salary).

Sincerely,

Rochelle Barry
