My exhusband put car insurance in my name without telling me, did not pay the bill, and now a collection agency is contacting me. Is there something I can do about this? I'm in Florida

If it happened while you were married the amount created while you were married is owned by both of you and should have been handled at the time of the divorce. You probably should contact the lawyer your used when you divorced.

You are more than welcome. Sorry I couldn't give you an easy answer.

On second thought you might want to call the insurance company and ask when your signed for this and proof of that signature. Just in case this happened after the divorce.
