If you were convicted of a crime ( fraud against Medicare) seven years ago, and you satisfied the probationary and paid the fine can you still renew an expired green card without hassle from immigration. (They were not involved or informed when crime was prosecuted years ago)

When you renew your card, it is very likely that they will find out about your conviction.
Fraud-related crimes can make you deportable.

Please make an appointment for an initial consult with a lawyer specializing in immigration law to best determine your options.

I suggest you consult with a local Immigration Attorney. As you can see by watching/reading the news, things are not the same as they were.
