What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Kansas

I got pulled over today (11/18) for driving with an expired tag in Aug and was given a ticket. I'm scheduled to appear in court in Feb and I don't know what to expect. If I plead no contest and pay the fine, will it go on my record

Any help is appreciated
