You know - it seems like every other post lately is someone telling the regulars here what a horrible, heartless, rude place this is..........can't help but wonder, then, why they keep coming back for the "horrible abuse" they suffer at the hands of regular posters????

Because it validates these folks' opinion that they are the victim.

Because it's easier to point fingers elsewhere than to realize you've got a bunch pointing right back at you. <shrug>

or perhaps because if you look in a search this site comes up as a place to come for legal advice. Not a place to meet Mr & Mrs snappy-comeback.

I posted a very legit question and only got one kind reply, however it was not helpful in my current situation. But when I did post to help someone else I got all kinds of silly remarks.

Perhaps there is a reason people keep saying the same thing.

I'll be here to find what I need, then I'll be gone. Perhaps its the basic hope that someone is here to help others. Perhaps they are offline today?? I'll simply keep searching for old threads that may apply and hope at one time someone on here helped someone else in a civil manner.

And the silly remarks weren't aimed at you, but at haiku's comment about the father being a man. Had nothing at all to do with you after her post.

That's fine then, but just go back and look at it as if you were me, and you might see why I reacted as I did.

I actually have gone through it several times, and don't see the cause for huffiness. Of course, it helps to know people's senses of humor.

or lack there of. I read often, post rarely. I see the pattern: how do I keep the father away form our child...but still make him pay child support through the nose because he in no good and I am only protecting my child because I am the only perfect parent for the child we made together...

Y'all keep up the good work. I needed a kick in the rear a few months ago and only had to read past posts to make me see the light!

I made my comment on your post, based on the "generalness" of your comment for supervised visitation. There is much more involved in getting supervised visitation then a mother deciding for herself when a father is capable. Hell, all first parents should have supervised if that were the case. So yes I did roll my eyes.

The poster is in the middle of mediation, a general comment like that could hurt her, in working out a good visitation agreement.

it was only after momma tiger pointed it out did I realize how goofy it read, and then we had some fun with THAT. The jokes were on me, not you.

as far as your post went, there may just be no one here who has experienced your problem, and rather than steer you wrong, we are not going to answer.

Of course now we have the flip side in another thread - can the bioMom stop me from moving the kids halfway across the country, and oh, I'm not going to be working so I can take care of all my kids, so she should pay if she wants to see them. Oh, and can my not working increase her CS amount?

Why didn't you simply look at the 410k other posts regarding the same situation. If it isn't of help to you...why do you bother returning.
This board has helped me in numerous ways during personal situations. I return to help others. If you don't like it call an attorney.
