What is the name of your state? Michigan

I currently am trying to get my record expunged (attempted home invasion 2nd degree, it's a felony) and have spoke with a number of lawyers on prices and how I go about doing this and what could stop me. Every lawyer has asked me if I have any other convictions and the answer to that is a simple yes, but only for child support after hearing that 75% to 80% percent say child support doesn't count hte rest say I can try but have never seen it accomplished with other convictions, the most recent that I spoke with is the ex Genesee county prosicuter (sp)Arthur Busch and of course has the highest price ($1500) which if it can be done I don't care if it costs $15,000. And was told by him that the child support covictions don't count as well, along with our caseworker for child support. The question I want to know is can it be done and if not what are choices after that? I currently work for a company (and have for the last year) that in the span of a few months will let me go if this is still on my record, being from Michigan should be all I have to say about my chances of finding a job after that.

Unless I am missing something failure to provide child support isn't a crime, but a civil action which is enforced by garnishment, revocation of business licenses, etc.... It would appear not to count as a conviction for your expungement.

Even if it's something that's plead guilty to?
