Ex's wife's comments

My ex's wife has been telling our daughter horrific things about me, things that are not true - from telling her that I smoke and drink alcohol excessively and lie to her about it to telling her about our court cases and even placing legal documents concerning our CS and custody hearings in her hands telling her that I've caused this "mess". My daughter then comes to visit me (I'm the NCP) and complains that she is tired of all the bickering and lies my ex's wife states about me and says that it seems like nothing she says about me is ever true and wishes it would stop.
This woman has met me twice and has never said anything more to me then "Hello" and "Have a nice night". Now in the midst of our court cases my ex and his wife do not speak to me at all. She always seems to put in her two cents worth in front of my daughter, who gets an ear-full every time.
Is this defamation of character? Can I take my ex's wife to court to get her to stop this attack on me in front of my daughter?

No. but it is time for a good swift kick in the ass. Tell her if it doesn't stop you'll file a motion to amend the custody order.
