What is the name of your state? California

We had our carpet installed about 2 and a 1/2 years ago. A year and a half later, we noticed that the carpet was folding up, like ripples all around the house. We called the installers to come back to fix it and they did. There were a few spots that we pointed out right then and told them that we can still see the ripples. They said that over time, it would go away on its own but it didn't. Just this month we called them to come back to repair the same spots - and new ones too all around the house - and they said their labor warranty is 2 years, and since it's been over 2 years now, they will charge us hundreds to come out and repair the carpet.

First of all, it it even legal to have a labor warranty? I can understand having a product warranty, but labor warranty?

Secondly, isn't it wrong of them to charge us for repairs that wasn't done properly the first and second time?

What we don't understand is why we should have to pay for their poor labor.

Please advise.

If you would have followed up on it in the 2 year time frame you wouldn't have to pay. You have let the time lapse now and if you want it fixed it will be on you. Why wait another year if it was the same old problem?
