My brother was taken back to the state of California on a parole violation and..our father is dying. I want to find out how I can help him with his parole sentencing and what steps need to be taken to submit an interstate transfer request. I want to know if it's possible he could serve his sentence in another or just get him transferred once he has served his assigned time. He could get a year for his violation and I know our father will not be able to wait that long...I have people who are willing to write letters on his behalf and I am wondering if this would help him in anyway, and if so who can i send them to. I guess I'm just looking for some helpful advice...He only wants to be close to his family and be able to atttend the funeral and that would probably never happen if he stays in California...
