Hi,
I completed MBA from USA and now I am in OPT which is valid through oct 2nd, 2005. I have a company which is willing to do H1 and later apply for a green card. But, I want to apply labor certification directly without H1 hassle. I will continue to be in F1 status till my labor certification gets approved. My question is, is it good to jump to labor directly at this time?
What happens if labor gets disapproved? How will f1 get affected and later H1 if I have to apply one?
As a knowledgeable person in this field, what is your opinion about this process?
Please help.
Thanks.

You really cannot do this as the F-1 classification does not allow you to have immigrant intent and the filing of the labor certification application demonstrates exactly that--immigrant intent.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or if I may be of further assistance in this matter.
