What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? KY

Let's say there is a person that has a court date. They fail to show up and a warrant is put out on the person. The person gets caught, only spends a night in jail. Person continues to go to court, however, one day they don't show up. Another warrant is put out. The person gets caught again and this time spends a week in jail. What woudl happen if the person gets caught again with a failure to appear warrant? Will the jail time just get extended or are there further consequences? Does the judge decide or are there set standards?

They will likely be arrested and held pending extradition to court of jurisdiction. Based on multiple issues of contempt, the court will likely allow them to sit in jail for a few weeks when they are apprehended.

In other words the court that issued the FTA warrants had no jurisdiction to do so. Interesting analysis. I suppose the Governor of Kentucky will now issue a request for "extradition" to himself.

[SUP] I thought there was some hope, but it appears that the last vestiges of sanity have departed our most revered “roadkill”.[/SUP]
