state:ca; I'm going north on pioneer. light is green at intersection of del amo. i have the right of way. lady in southbond lanes makes a left. i slam on my brakes but hit her. relatively minor damage. she claims she had right of way. witness claims i was going to fast. if i was going too fast, how come damage is relatively minor?
question 1: cops don't give her a citation. why?
question 2: i have a 1000 dollar deductible and no rental car insurance. her insurance company needs to pick up the tab, (and more importantly, send her and her witness back to traffic school.) do I need a lawyer to be reimbursed, or can i trust my insuance company to do it for me? my insurance co. is state farm.
thanks.

Unfortunately, you are still responsible. You have no witness on your side to help your case.

The traffic report is going to be out in 2 weeks. Can I fight it with a lawyer? Would it do any good?
I had the right of way.
Thanks.
