What is the name of your state?TN

In my papers it states that each parent has the right upon written request to the school to class schedules, report cards, attendance records etc. It also states in the papers that for Fall/Spring break is to be equally divided. I have two questions

1) Is it his responsibility to let me know whether he will be getting the children for his time or do I need to say something to him about it. It does not matter to me what he chooses to do I just don't want the finger being pointed at me down the road to say "You said nothing about it or you did not tell me".

2) Equally divided --Does this mean the week is equally split between both parents?

Thanks for your help.

I'd say it's an equal responsibility for the two of you to sort it out since it's not stated more clearly than that. The two of you can agree how you want to do it - each takes a half week, or one of you takes Fall and the other Spring.

Since you can't make plans unless you know whether you'll have the kid(s), why would you NOT contact him about it?

And if you have trouble talking to him, try first sending him an email.

And a matter of fact, you can create a calendar (or cut and paste it from the school district website, if available) showing school vacation dates, etc and send it to him.
