Ok I'll try to make this short as I am still trying to sort it all out. 7 years ago I let a friend move in w/me as she was in an abusive relationship. I never changed the lease as it was just until she could find her own place. I get a phone message yesterday(I haven't had a friendly relationship w/her in at least 5-6 years) from her ranting something about an electric bill in her name from 2001 that I supposedly had and if I don't pay it she is filing identity theft and fraud against her. I called her to find out what she was talking about and all she did was yell and wouldn't calm down so I could get the amount or the dates. She just kept saying she had a copy of the lease and tax records that showed I lived there. First of all I didn't live there during that time I had bought a house and hadn't resided at the address she states for over 2 years. Long story short I can't get any coherent info from her and her last statement was that she was filing charges against me. I know that she wasn't on the lease, but she did live there, heck I don't even know her birthday. Anyway, if she does file these charges can I file a slander or something of that sort.
