Hello. Add in magazine:free upgrade for piece of musical equipment, " offer is good now through January 31,2000 ". I purchased the piece($500.00) and mailed in the appropriate receipt and form.
Reply: "Regret...freebie special offer was cancelled in early December...ads could not be removed in time...can offer you upgrade at 40% off list price.."
Surely I am entitled to a "free" upgrade as advertised. Any help with this would be much appreciated, thank you.

You can report them to the Federal Trade Commission, but I'd get my money back and deal with another firm. You can't win if you sue them without spending a bundle.
