This past summer I was arrested following a minor traffic stop. Apparently the officer took offense that I was an ex state trooper and had the nerve to ask him a ? I was very pleasant to the officer up to and including my arrest. He orginally stated that he was arresting me for "failure to follow a lawful order. I wouldn't get in my hot un- a/c car as he ordered. After arrest I immediately asked to speak to my lawyer. Was told by officer that I HAD to answer his question. I refused. Officer tried to imtimidate me in answering questions. After 2 hours of processing I was allowed to talk to my lawyer, within 10 minutes, I was released with a citation. I made a complaint with the PD dept. and the County executive's office. Got copy of charges was charged with NOT failure to obey but disorderly conduct. The statement of charges were filled with complete false statements. ie lied like a dog. State Attn offered to put case on STET docket I refused because I had done nothing wrong. Went to trial with representation. The State brought in a special prosecutor just for my case. Judge believed me found not guilty. I feel my rights have been greatly violated. Due I have a cause for either civil or criminal action? I have been unable to find an attn. reason given is they have to live here. Any suggestions?
