What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Florida

My husband and I were reported to the department of children and families this week by my son's teacher. She claimed that we are neglecting our children by letting my 16 year old daughter babysit my 8 year old son overnight. We, as well as the children, talked to the case worker and he said that he was going to put this down as a false claim and close the case. He said that it was ridiculous and he didn't even want to interrupt our evening, but legalities... Anyway, I am wondering if there is any way we can have this taken off of our record? I talk to my son's teacher at least twicw a month and she knows how to get in touch with both my husband and myself. We are planning to have a conference with her and the principal and find out exactly how this all came about. Does anyone out there have any advice as to how I can go about removing this from our record???

If you weren't charged and the case is closed- end of story. It isn't on some sort of criminal record unless you were found guilty of something and charged. If you mean that you'd like to erase any evidence there was a call to children's services- that won't happen.

Where are you and your husband all night long? It could be the teacher is concerned that your teenager is being put into an adult situation of being 'parent' to your 8 year old. Occasionally babysitting is one thing- but all night long with no adult coming home, sounds suspicous.
