What is the name of your state? FLORIDA

I was involved in a nasty will contest. We had a will but some relatives decided to conteste the will. The will named me as executor of the estate. I took a copy of the will to the post office and showed the postmaster. The post office put in a request to forward the deceased mail to me, as the will named me executor.

A few weeks later the attorney for the individuals contesting the will, went and filed a report with the police alleging mail theft, mail fraud and forgery. They claimed that I had forged the will and had no right to have the mail forwarded. The attorney was overheard saying, he was "trying to create a criminal record" for me, that way the court would not appoint me as personal rep as the will stated.

Eventually the court did appoint me and the court did not find the will to be a forgery.

I feel the attorney deliberately tried to ruin my reputation. Is this something that I can report the attorney to the bar for? Can he be sued or at least reported to the police for filing a false report?

Thanks

IF your witness is credible then have your attorney take a deposition and your complaint to the State Bar Ethics Committee.
