What is the name of your state? PA

I bought a 1994 Blazer with 95000 miles 16 days ago. I was uneasy about paying $2800 for it but the dealer and his partner assured me and re-assured me that I was getting a great running truck that would be reliable for my family.I explained to him that I am on a fixed income and could not afford to put any money into it other than regular maintinance. He guranteed me that this truck had a 'sound' engine. Well it is now parked and undrivable without causing further damage. I still owe $600. I had called him to request that he take it back and refund my money and he refuses to call me back after several attemps. Do I have a case or will I be waisting my money in court cost ?

Based on the VERY limited information provided in your post, unless you got some type of WRITTEN statement of condition or warranty, you have no case against them.
Under 'Caveat Emptor', you have the obligation to properly inspect the vehicle and its condition BEFORE you purchase. This includes having YOUR mechanic check the vehicle. You didn't, and therefore, have no case.

What did your mechanic say about the vehicle's condition?
Obviously, the writer did not have a pre-sale mechanical review. This is a simple matter of caveat emptor. Nothing more, nothing less.
