having a problem with neighbor.for few months now theyve been "anonymously" harassing myself and my parents.it started out small like sending service techs to the house in our name and ordering pizzas and such but now its getting worse.first my vehicle was vandalized and then about 2 months ago i was informed by nj dyfs an anonymous complaint was filed saying my sister was my drug supplier and i did drugs with my kids in the house 7 days a week.my sister nor i have ever done drugs and i dont have custody of my kids , i only have weekly visitation rights as they live with there mom.regardless dyfs investigated and almost immediately dismissed the case.sure enough the other day the same dyfs agent shows up saying a new complaint was made that now im doing drugs around my niece (my sisters daughter) the agent was almost apologetic.he assured me he understood the system was being used to harass me but said he had to go through the motions and investigate again regardless.i demanded to know who was filing the complaints and he said he could not tell me , they were anonymous.i already know who it is , we have gathered evidence and filed several criminal complaints against the neighbor for the other harassment but the police are dragging there feet because it is low priority.i need to know if theyre is a way i can sue for the name of the person whos filing these against me and if i can find out who it is what can i sue them for and can i have them arrested?please help , thanks.

If you can show that these other people are making complaints that they know to be false, then they might be able to be charged with a crime. Same with suing them for harassment. The hard part might be getting the name and information out of the youth services agency.

If you think you have a case, run the details by a local attorney and see if anything can be done against the complaining party. I would think that the agency being manipulated should take steps to cease being a party to the harassment (provided it is harassment and not based upon some authentic belief - even if wrong). So, maybe you can talk to the agency and ask them what to do.
