What is the name of your state? South Dakota

I have been working on my family history for about 2 months now. All information I have found came from the Internet, Ancestry.com and familysearch.org. All the photos are from what I have. I have set up a website and had posted all that information on there. Just this week I found out that my Father (that I have not see in 10 years) is having a big problem with that information out there. For right now I have removed the like from the website. Should I readd the link to the site? What right does my "Father" have? Is there any laws that state that I have the right to post my family history?

Thanks

Tell your father to get over it. It's public information and none of his business what you do with it.

Are there any laws regarding what can and can't be posted online?

Is there any legal action he can take because of what is posted?

I don't know who has the FA crystal ball so I can't tell you if or when or what he MAY do.

But there is no law against disseminating public information. And all the stuff you can get on the two sites listed you can also get from every County Courthouse in the country.

What I did was to put a login screen on the home page. Now he can't login to see the information.
