What is the name of your state? FL

I have 2 daughters and I'm in the process of getting divorced. I'm filling out the Family Law Financial Affidavit LAW Form 12.901(e) and I have the following questions:

After entering the "present monthly net income" and the "total monthly expenses" I get a surplus of approx $1,000. In other words, if I subtract my net income iwth my montht expenses I get a result of approx $1,000.

1. This means that I have to pay $1,000 a month for child support?

2. Currently I'm separated and I'm not paying rent where I'm staying at. What will happen if I start paying rent eventually? Do I have to fill out another Family Law Financial Affidavit form showing those new expenses?

I don't mind paying that amount but I want to know.

Thank you in advanced,

Check your CP state guidelines. That is the maximum CP you will have to pay.

Any extra $$'s will be decided by the court.

You may have missed some expenses. Suggest you re-calculate just to be sure.

$1000/ month seems low for two kids.

1. The CS will be based on your combined net incomes, not on whatever surplus you have after expenses. ( you'll be able to figure out the approx. amount when you fill out the required CS Guidelines Worksheet).

2. If you start paying rent, income or expenses go up or down, etc. DURING a pending action you'll have to file an amended financial affidavit. Once all orders are done and nothing is pending you are not required by law to file another one until an action has been filed.
