Live In New York State, my husband's girlfriend has signed my child up for Little League and put herself down as the mother. Is this illegal? We have a separation agreement that states that we have joint custody that was signed and notorized by both of us over a year ago but we have not had it finalized as he is the one pursuing divorce and never filed the agreement. His girlfriend is also in contact with the school regarding my daughter as my husband signed a release for her and I am being excluded from making educational decisions for her is there anything I can do to stop this?

My response:

Yes, if you firmly believe that the best interests of your child are not being served, then you can do something about this.

Obtain good, clean, copies of all documents she has signed and take him back to court on an Order to Show Cause Re: Interference with Child Custody - - this, because he is allowing her to interfere with your rights to the decision-making process.

Then, you'll want to sue her, personally, for Contractual Interference, Permanent Injunction, and Damages.

Again, unless these things are not in the best interests of your child; i.e., being signed up for Little League, then by all means, prepare yourself for battle and open up your wallet for your attorney.
