What is the name of your state?

Virginia
Here goes, my late husband adopted his first wife's son; he had a son with his second wife; he & I married and he adopted my son, then he and I had a son together.

Since all boys are either adopted and/or related by blood, are they adoptive brothers, half-brothers, or just simply brothers? :

Ok...

The first two sons, would be half brothers to your two sons. I am not sure why that matters though. Simply to say, "brothers" would be sufficient.
