My mom has used my name to get 2 credit cards becuase her credit is so poor. She did this without telling me and now that I have found out she has had them for a year and they are both over their limit and she has been consistently making late payments even 60 and 90 days late. Her credit is not good enough to switch them into her name because of the high balance. What can I do? I obviously don't want to press charges for fraud but this has ruined an otherwise excellent credit rating. Any advice you may have would be extremely helpful

Any suggestions we make to you on this subject will, either sooner or later, cause your mother trouble, in one fashion or the other - - either criminally or civilly. If you want any suggestions, you're going to have to come to grips with that eventuality, or suffer along as you have been. So, you let us know if you want to take action to protect yourself, or not.
