What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California
My husband and I share property with my brother. We are not getting along, can't agree on how to manage property together. My husband and I live on property, my brother does not, but his daughter does. We would like to sell and get away from all the turmoil. Brother is very difficult and doesn't agree with anything we want to do. Original agreement was brother would spilt property (60 acres) and we would each have our own 30 acre parcel. But county won't allow split below 40 acres. Is there any way to get out of this property. Brother can't buy us out and we can't buy him out. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

I agree with Tranq, but have you seriously looked into trying to find a way to get the county to make an exception in your case?
