My husband has physical custody of his child from a past realtionship (not married) he is five years old. This non-custodial mother has visitation ever other Sat. & Sun. 10 am -8 pm no overnights do to negative situations and old job schedules she has had. Also, Tues. & Thurs. from 4- 6:30, which he does not go to all of the time. My husband and I own a Home Improvement/ Gutter company here in Northeastern CT. In the spring and summer business is good however when we start to get the cold months about Oct. - end of Feb. business slows down tremendously. It get really bad this time of year as far as paying employees which we do lay off some, and paying our personal/houshold bills. We are looking to relocate to the south preferably South Carolina. We have a plan for visitation and we aren't looking to move until June. After the holidays he is going to approach her with this... we are hopeing she may agree do to the long extended periods of time that she will have him on school vacations. We would not want child support, event though she is ordered to pay child support now and is behind 4900.00, and we are looking to split transportation costs. What do you think about this situation and what do you think our chances are? I just hope she doesn't think we are doing this becasue of her.
