my father died without a will in the state of minnesota. there are four daughters as well as our mother. three of us agree it should all go to our mother, fourth one is telling everyone that she is getting a truck our father had in his name only as well as a couple of boats and other items. the boats and other items are on property parents own jointly but we have an agreement drawn up that states it is owned by my parents and us four girls. parents put their name on property to keep it simple. we are mostly concerned with making sure our mother is taken care of but the fourth daughter is making it hard. we are afraid that our mother will cosign for a loan for the truck (she is in her 60s) and not have the money we want her to have. how can we three make sure our mother is taken care of without depriving her of her freedom and rights? also what can be done to block the fourth from taking everything from our mother by using the threat of not seeing one of her granddaughters?
