I could really use some good advice right now. My Father right now is in the advanced stages of Alziehmers. My sister has reached a emotional and physical saturation point in trying to care for him. He will not sign any power of Att paper work, and it looks like we will have to go to the courts to obtain Gaudianship...this could take months and money we dont have. He is wandering away every day and seems to be getting worse by the day.

Do you need Gaudianship or a power of Att to admitt them into some type of assisted living immiediatly?

If he is not competent he can't sign a POA anyway. Have your sister contact the probate court and get emergency POA/guardianship also Adult protective services may be of assistance since he is wandering away and help with placement.
