What is the name of your state? tn

My father passed away in january. There was a will, life insurance, house was paid for and fortunately for my mom, all of bills in his name were paid off as his death was not a surprise. The will named my mother beneficiary of everything. Does she really need to do anything as far as filing of will. etc etc.

No one can answer without knowing more.... like who's name is the house in... and what style. I suggest you contact a local probate attorney who can take care of this likely simple matter for a few hundred dollars. Far cheaper than the cost of NOT having one and finding out you should have in 10 or 20 years.
