This is an Ethical dilema, but I hope it's a legal one too. In the Federal Government there exists policies that profit bosses, SES Management, at the cost of Employees. As a Federal SES, (Senior Executive Service, or boss), they are given substantial bonuses for undercutting thier section budget, to include personnel overtime. Now the problem occurs that these SES Federal bosses do not equip and give enough manpower, via thier budget, to employees so that we have to use poor, outdated equipment and work with fewer employees creating a saftey issue.
All of this is due to the SES bosses cutting their budgets to pad thier own bonuses per the active policy and in effect endangering personnel. Clearly we have an issue if something goes wrong, but have we any recourse before such hazard occurs? It's unethical, but is there a law that sets this straight? Thank you-
