What is the name of your state? Massachusetts.
I have a federal tax lien filed in May 1994. Since it was over 10 years old Experian took it off my report. I notified Trans Union of this and got the reply that it can remain on my report indefinately if not paid or released depending on the state I live in. The lien was filed in Florida.
Anybody out there know about this. I was told the Fed tax liens expire if not refiled within 30 days of the ten year period. I would like to have this removed from my report.
