Live in California. Been married 12 yrs, lived toget total 15 yrs. We have a daughter that is 6. She was born in 12/94. In 11/95 he was arrested felony spousal abuse. Yes I am a fool and indiot. His lawyer talked me into going back so he wouldn't go to jail. Have not been any other physical harm since, however, he has always been extremely controlling. He has not worked since, he was to stay home with our daughter and remodel our house so we could sell and move to our 40ac in Oregon. I left him in Dec 2000 and filed for divorce in Feb. I got a lawyer and he got me temp order to see my daughter. My husbands parents got him a lawyer at 330.00/hr who has made this a very expensive divorce and my lawyer (after fees are over 11k) left my case saying his lawyer will drag this out for a yr or so. He knew I would never be able to pay him. I earn 45K yr. Went to court last week for temp order - his lawyer and I were in cafeteria to discuss this, and he was not using accurate info for the chart to figure support, It made me mad and I told him so. We got into a heated discussion and he tells me I am a lousy mom and I should be ashamed and guilty because I have only given 1300.00 since Jan 2001. I left everything behind, lived in my truck a month before I could get a place to live. My husband has made everyday a nightmare since. I told his lawyer a few choice words and said no deal, I'd wait for the judge to tell me what is fair. By this time the judge was at recess. Came back at 1:30 and husbands lawyer says sorry, had no right to say those things. Said he wrote up agreement and I needed to sign it before we see judge again. I was upset and accused him and my husband of trying to push me over edge. He said if I didn't sign, he would ask for a continuance, make me do a deposition, (I stopped working a week earlier and looking for new job, applied for unemployment) and would tell the judge about an arrest I got on April 2, 2001. I tried to kill myself and was arrested for being drunk and possission of drugs. Yes, I am an idiot. First time to be arrrested, am 39 yrs old. Did some drugs in early 20's, nothing else since. My husband smokes pot daily. He knew I went to jail and told me not to tell my lawyer and he wouldn't either because we could loose our daughter to social services. I believed him. So I signed the agreement, 517.00/child and 645.00/alimony per month effective July 2001. I have no money except for 159.00. Are ther laws about him yelling at me and threatening to delay and do the depo? Are am I just screwed for the rest of my life because of a major mistake April 2?
