fell down steps

[fallen and can't get up]

Hi. A week back our hall way light went out. we went and told the landlords, and they said that it isn't a priority. So we said give us the light bulb and said we will do it. To this they said no cause if we fell they would be at fault. so we said ok and left. well one day after running i was walking down the stairs and slipped and fell cause it was dark. i didn't do any damage to me except a carpet rug burn on my elbow and knee and calf. is there anything i can do??

Why bother. You have only a very minor injury that does not warrant a claim. But, I would send a letter to the landlord that the light was not fixed (or is not fixed).
