What is the name of your state? North Carolina

I was convicted of a B&E (A Felony) in 1999 & a couple misdemeanors when I was 18.
Due to it being my 1st (and only) time in trouble I never did any jail time but I was on probation for almost 5 years.

Since then I paid back over $10,000 in restitution, court fees, lawyer fees, etc...
I've held down the same job for 6 years & just finished getting my AA degree(Excellent grades) from a community college.
I am hoping to be accepeted into a local small university but was wondering if my conviction 7 years ago will hold me back from getting into this school or any other.

Thanks for your time.
:)

When you called and asked what did they say?
I havent specifically talked to anyone about it yet.
I didnt know if it would be usless or not, I'm not real sure on whether or not most universities allow someone with a felony on their record (other than athletes of course).

Universities do allow felons to attend. But they also require full disclosure. You may have problems with financial aid depending on what your crime was (missed it if you said it in the original post). Heck even law schools allow felons to attend. With that being said however, depending on your felony it may limit what you are qualified to do with your degree. Some fields will not hire felons of a certain ilk (nursing, teaching, law enforcement) so you will want to make sure that your chosen career will not be hindered by your record.
