I am being implicated for conspiracy to commit false pretenses and false pretenses. Where can I find information on what a felony will do to my life?

Read your state's criminal code to find out the category of the crime. Then read the sentencing act to see what jail time you face.

In general, a felony means you have to check 'yes' to the 'ever been convicted of a felony' box on job applications. You won't pass any background checks, limiting your future career options. You won't be able to vote or run for office. If you ever have to testify in court, your testimony will be impeached with the fact that you have a conviction for a crime involving dishonesty.

This is not legal advice and you are not my client. Double check everything with your own attorney and your state's laws.
