My brother was arrested on charges of having a gun on him and a small amount of Mariga. That was a misdeamor, but the cops where he lives does not like him, so they pushed for the FED TO INDICET him on the gun. Since he was a felon. This is first arrest in 15 years he was not suppose to have a gun on him. What do you think the Fed court will do? what is there proceder in these case? This happen 2 years ago. this pass JANUARY. The Fed indicted him Last April. He works and is straight. attend drug counsel for 6 mo and really like it. He IS 52. I AM A WIDOW AND MY SISTER IS. SHE IS 70 AND i AM 68. We sure do need him to help us. I am scared.What can you all advice me?

Due to being convicted felon in possession of weapon, he is in pretty SHIx and he need the best attorney right now, I meant it.

Standard answer

Here are some hints on appearing in court:

Dress professionally in clean clothes.

Do not wear message shirts.

Don't chew gum, smoke, or eat.

Bathe and wash your hair.

Go to court beforehand some day before you actually have to go to watch how things go.

Speak politely and deferentially. If you argue or dispute something, do it professionally and without emotion.

Ask the court clerk who you talk to about a diversion (meaning you want to plead to a different, lesser charge), if applicable in your situation.

Felony fed court

He was appointed a Federal Lawyer last april when he was arrested. I sure appreciate your answers Yes I am expecting the worse. He seems to have a good lawyer. He has changed. With a lot of help from his DR. DO they put you in FED PRISON OR STATE? I dont no the difference.

He will be under the jurisdiction of the feds if he is convicted in federal court or the state if he is convicted in state court.

Where he is literally locked up is something whoever convicted him will decide.

Sometimes federal prisoners are housed in county jails.

No one will know till he gets sentenced.

Felony Fed Court

Forgot to say he and his Lawyer meet with a Probation lawyer or who ever for the interview prelimary sentencing I think. He felt good about it. He has sleep aptaney. Has to sleep in a breathing machine has for 10 years. Quite a few health problems, but that dont matter if you do the crime you do the time.
