Hello,

My name is Steve Recek and I live in Southern California, Mission Viejo, 92691.

We bought our house 4 years ago, we did no work to the back yard which has a 6 foot brick fence all around our front and back yard.

We recently put our house up for sales. Our neighbor noticed the for sales sign and called our realtor 3 times, complaining that we need to disclose the leaning of one side of the fence. This caused the prospective buyers to ask us to pay $5,500.00 to get this wall fixed (less than 3 feet needs to be re-seated).

Since this is a shared wall and we did noting to this wall for the 4 short years we have lived here, our neighbor never contacted us on wanting this taken care of or offering to go in half, since it is a shared wall it is their responsibility also.

Needless to say, they caused us losing our buyers of the house because we will not pay this $5,500.00 to get this shared wall fixed.

We see that the neighbors used this to get the wall fixed and they would not have to pay a dime, what action can we take against these opportunistic crooks for us losing our sale of the house?
