What is the name of your state? Texas
I currently work for a school district as a web/graphic designer & photographer.
I also run a business outside of the district that deals with web design and photography. In my off time (not on the districts time or money) i shoot photos at some of the high school sporting events.
These sporting events are covered by local media and other independent companies as well as me. Am I violating the FERPA law by selling these photos online?
I don't think I would be, due to it being alright with others doing, including media and other companies. Just because I am an employee of the school district, i'm not really working for them on the clock that moment and not being paid for my time or my equipment. I give them free photos for giving me the access to the fields, however I am in no way paid.
Am I breaking the FERPA Acts guidelines?
