What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Ca

wife has supervised vistation tomorrow for 4 hours, our 2.5 year old baby stated running a fever today [this afternoon] if baby still has a fever tomorrow i really dont want the baby leaving the house.

i dont want to deny visitation but i dont want the baby getting worse being out running around in bad weather [30 minutes travel each way]

i also dont want to piss a judge off either if im in the wrong

2.5 year old isn't a "baby"..LOL...

However, you certainly do have the option of talking with mom and trying to reschedule the visit...or change the location of the visit..or coming up with other compromises.

I happen to agree that children who are sick shouldn't be passed around but courts often do not agree.

If the Tylenol isn't bringing the fever all the way down have you called the child's pediatricion? Is there any way you can call mom and explain the situation and ask mom to make up when the child is not feverish?

just got off the phone with the mother. she only wants to see the baby more and wants the baby to travel all over 2 county,s. i told her to think about the baby,s needs first and i understand her needs but the baby,s needs should be thought of first.

anyway i didnt deny the visitation yet and she said she would call back soon so i suppose she is calling her lawyer to ask her advise

Do you have time to get the child in to see the pedio before the visit so that if the child doesn't get better you have proof the child is ill if you feel that the child can't handle the visit? Maybe mom can come up to your town and take the baby to the doctor with you? Or you can make the appointment and mom can take the baby to the doc on her visitation time?

i have not called the childs doctor just yet since her cousin and everyone around has that flue like virus thats going around. it has been less then 24 hours since the toddler has been running a temp. if the temp would have stayed at 101 yes i would have run her into the doctor asap. if sympton,s continue toddler will go in to the doctor.

That is a low grade fever and should not prevent you from taking Munchkin for visitation. If the fever was higher (over 101) then I would feel differently, but 100 fever that tylenol controls is not a big deal. It's cold season. If Munchkin doesn't have any other really troubling symptoms (listless, hacking cough, severe congestion) then the trip shouldn't be a problem.

Is this your first/only child? :)

Other than the (extremely low) fever of 100* or so... is the child exhibiting any other symptoms of illness?

How far from your house is the Dr's office? Nearest ER? Pharmacy?
