I wasn't talking to you and it's really none of your business so go steal some more money from some more of your poor clients and leave me alone. God, you must have no life!

My response:

Apparently, you don't understand how the Internet, or these forums, work.

You see, when you write, you're writing to the entire world - - including me. You may not like it, but that's the nature of this forum site.

Also, you keep coming back and writing, even after I've already told you that - -

"Believe me dear, no one cares whether your "betrothed" is being harassed, or whether you're able to have your "In 'n Out Burger" visits. He's there for a "reason", and that doesn't include all the "creature comforts of home."

No one gives a crap about felons or their slightly mentally "off" paramours - - "

And, apparently that's a true statement because you can't count on one hand the "positive" responses you've received to this thread. That's because the vast majority of us are normal, law abiding citizens.

I've only gotten what, three negative responses? Wow, that's a lot huh? I have a lot of people on a different web site who is there for me. I do know how these forums work and you shouldn't be coming to this one 'cause it's quite obvious you don't know how it works. You say most of the world is full of law abiding citizens? What world are you from? That just proves how naive you are. And why do you have to keep repeating what I say, that just shows me your stupidity. It's really disappointing to have people who practice law as shallow and narrow minded like you. I don't know why my life and what I decide to do with it bothers you so much or else you wouldn't have put so much effort into all of this. Is your practice suffering that bad?

Honey I admire you for standing by this man and giving him the love and encouragement that he needs...I my self am I law abiding citizen but I do not condone anyone who is in prison...I believe that everyone deserves a second chance and this man does also...All the people saying all these bad things are sitting back jealous because they aren't open minded enough to realize that prisoners are human beings...I do not like to look at them as prisoners, I look at it as they are FREEDOM CHALLENGED...These people are not here to help to you or anyone for that matter...They remind me of Rush Limbaugh and god knows that he is narrow minded and stupid...You are right when you say that they have people in there neighborhood that does things that could land them in some hot water but they are just way to bling to realize it...They are perfect living in a BIG fantasy world...There are over 30 million people in US prisons...That is not a small number so I don't know how they can say that most people abide by the rules...I don't always...I speed when I am driving, I do not wear my seat belt, I used to drink and drive after a beer or two, and everyone knows that most lawyers and judges are bigger alcoholics and drug addicts than the men sentenced to prison for it but they are in the system already so that never gets out...Keep your head up and steer your man in the right direction...He can be rehiblitated with some love and support and you are giving him that...I applaud you dear...My motto to life is..."Stand by your man, what do you have to loose"...

Listen Shelly, Ive seen the insides of a prison cell and ive lived the life your "soulmate" is living now. Prison isnt pretty, not supposed to be pretty. It is a no no for you to do what you did for a reason, now your understanding only part of why. Nothing is going to be done within the prison system because the board, the warden and everyone involved is gonna want to use your mistake and your LOVE as an example to the rest. Tough it out. You made the bed.
As Far as I AM ALWAYS LIABLE goes, it is the narrow minded view of people like this that causes hate, that puts ex cons at such a disadvantage that they cannot do anything but sell drugs to make a living. I bet your gonna reply with an argument arent you. Let me ask you, I am a felon, without knowing anything else about me, would you hire me? No is the answer. And a lot of people wont, so HOW am i supposed to be a decent member of society if i cannot work and support myself?? I understand your vision, however, not all felons are life long criminals, please realize this. Some do regret doing what they did, so have learned. Not many, but there are some. Go look hard before you judge.

I look at it as they are FREEDOM CHALLENGED..

>>>>>WOW a NEW Oprah/Dr Phil feel good term "I am FREEDOM CHALLENGED"

.My motto to life is..."Stand by your man, what do you have to loose"...

Jamie Jo, a REAL man wouldnt want you. A man with real standards like working every day, not being arrested or committing crimes, and not cheating on his wife/girlfriend is a concept you dont understand, because you probably never have been with a man with such HIGH standards.

The term FREEDOM CHALLENGED is so ludicrous that I can hardly type it.

As for being like Rush Limbaugh--hmmm, I don't think so. I'm a liberal, Creole (meaning black), short, Jazz-loving female from New Orleans. I'm from a city where people drink beers for breakfast and flash their breasts for free Lucky Dogs from street vendors. I'm not exactly uptight.

But that whole, "stand by your man" or "everybody makes mistakes" crap is just that. Crap. If he really cared anything about you Shelly, he wouldn't even allow you to communicate with him until he had served his time, gotten a good job, and gone through drug rehab. And if you think you're having a hard time from the people on this board, just wait until he gets out and you have to suffer the disgust of your neighbors, family and friends! Just wait until he has to register as a drug offender in your community! Thrill to the sounds of your family and friends hanging up the phone when you attempt to communicate with them!

As for the legal aspect of your situation I advise you to be patient for two more months. I imagine the process of clearance for someone like yourself who used to work in corrections must be lengthy. You cannot demand immediate visitation. Despite the fact that you and your beau are hot to see each other (and I'm sure he's unusually HOT), the authorities have the right to be slightly suspicious and careful of the situation. Consult the private attorney if nothing has happened after the two or three months. No one, and I do mean NO ONE, is eager to help a convict, with good reason.

For your information Mei, I have a great man who loves me and does not xheat on me so until you know me quit running your chops about me...It is people like you who make society so freaking stupid...You are narrow minded and an idiot...I am loved and I love my man...These people are paying there debt to society...My fiance owns his own business and as a matter of fact, we hire felons because we believe in rehabilitation and people can change...This man is not a sex offender, a child molester, or a murderer, he sold drugs...Are people that are in prison for dui's bad people too? Can you honestly tell me that you have never tried drugs or drank and drove? NO...

It seems to me that everyone's idea of a convict is a person who rapes, robs, kills, beats, etc...Not all convicts are violent...the ones who are should be locked up for a long time along with the career criminal. However, they usually get shorter sentences than non-violent offenders.

In addition, there are many convicts who can be rehabilitated-who have paid their debt to society, and is trying to better themselves. To say that everyone who breaks the law should be put away forever is ignorant.

To say that family and friends will turn their backs on a person who loves an inmate is wrong too. It doesn't happen in most cases.

It's easier for a federal offender to get a job when they are released than it is for a state offender. Many employers won't run a federal criminal check because of the cost.

There have been many celebrities who have been arrested or convicted of a crime, but everyone watches their programs or movies. They have made something of themselves and put their pasts behind them. So it's ok for them to start their life over, but it's not ok for a regular person? Give me a break...

Also, for the one that said FREEDOM CHALLENGED makes them sick to even write...Well my advice to you is not to write it then...It didn't come from Dr. Phil or Oprah but now I can tell what you do in your free time...It is a better word for inmates...You can tell alot of you are simple minded folks without a clue in life...Grow up...

TOP 10 Reasons Why They Won't Give You Conjugal Visits - -

NUMBER 10: Even with makeup, you look like Don Rickles.

NUMBER 9: You giggle uncontrollably everytime someone says "subpoena".

NUMBER 8: Because you're having conjugal visits with yourself.

NUMBER 7: During a prison patdown search, the guard asks you to pull your pants back up.

NUMBER 6: Your attempts to create a prison environment free of sexual harassment failed miserably because that's one of their favorite pastimes.

NUMBER 5: After a spat, he says to you, "Don't kid yourself - - I can always find another sexually-ambiguous, freaky looking, woman like you."

NUMBER 4: The most common greeting from the guards when you walk in is, "Who's frying bacon?"

NUMBER 3: Your prison towels are marked "His" and "Dumbo's."

NUMBER 2: When the guard greets you at the gate he says, "Oh, yes, you can see him over there in the loser section".

AND NOW, the NUMBER ONE Reason Why They Won't Give You Conjugal Visits - -

You keep taunting the other prisoners by saying, "You see boys, I can step in, I can step out, I can step in, I can step out."

For one honey, you have to be married to have conjugual visits so alot of that **** doesn't make sence...I also know what you do in your spare time...You should never critisize people for who they love because for all you know, I am sleeping with your husband, so how does that make him a better person than an inmate...It doesn't...I would rather date a felon that a cheater...

That is so true too Jamie Jo. Most attorney's steal (which is a crime) from people so that they can drive there BMW's and have there half million dollar homes, they are alcoholics, liars, and they cheat on there spouses. I know five attorney's personally who are sexist pigs and infact my friend was dating one and he got a DUI while she was in the car with him. God, imagine that! You want to stereotype the prison communituy well you better watch out 'cause more people don't like lawyers.

Some State DOC's allow conjugal visits...not all. The BOP doesn't allow conjugal visits for federal inmates.

Also, before any of you judge, you may want to look back into your state's law books to make sure that YOU haven't committed any crimes.

In my state, committing adultery, living together without being married, cursing in public, wearing a hat in a movie theatre, sleeping on a train, etc. are illegal. These are old laws, however, they're still on the books... so, a person who does any of these are still committing a crime. You all need to make sure that YOU aren't criminals yourself.
