In my state, committing adultery, living together without being married, cursing in public, wearing a hat in a movie theatre, sleeping on a train, etc. are illegal. These are old laws, however, they're still on the books... so, a person who does any of these are still committing a crime. You all need to make sure that YOU aren't criminals yourself.

I have no control of his future actions, but I will help him as much as possible and direct him on the right path. Yes, and it's States like yours that we all laugh at, and use as examples of how certain States, like yours, are backwards!

And, using those "examples" doesn't bode very well for you either. Only an uneducated criminal, much like yourself, would use those examples to compare to selling drugs - - a crime that will cause you to be incarcerated in the State Penitentiary!

Listen, you got some good legal advice (see IAAL's initial post and a subsequent post from myself advising you to consult your private atty). You got a lot of criticism along with it. Be brave and take it like a soldier. Don't cop out and don't be a coward. We don't have to agree with what you're doing. Nobody has to like it. You better get used to getting criticized, because if you date a drug dealer/ex-con/felon you're going to receive a lot of criticism. Hell, the negative comments you receive on this board are MILD compared to the stuff life is going to deal to you.

And by the way, for the Shelly supporters, please, please, PLEASE--grammar and spelling? Just a suggestion? If you're gonna call folks idiots then it might be a good thing to do it properly.

This is all i have to say. Most all of you are bashing each other in this post, it's sounding like a high school "NO, im right, NO IM right" argument. For claiming to be intelligent people there is nobody acting like it. I have a lot of respect for these message boards, however, this thread is the exception. Your all making fools of yourselves and can't see it. With the comments I have seen in this thread I find myself wondering how you can advise anyone on any subject.
If you can't respect someone else, or at least the freedom to make their own choices, at least respect yourselves enough to not become judgmental hypocrits.
